  • Prepare the syrup
    Mix sugar and cold water until the sugar dissolves.
  • Prepare the limes
    Wash the limes, cut off the ends, then cut them into eighths, leaving the peel on.
  • Blend
    Blend the limes for about 5 seconds, not too long to avoid bitterness. Add half of the sugar syrup, blend for a few more seconds, then add the rest of the syrup.
  • Strain the limes
    Pour the liquid from the blender into a pitcher. Remove the remaining limes from the blender, and using a spoon, strain them through a fine sieve over the pitcher to extract all remaining juice.
  • Add condensed milk
    Add the condensed milk to the pitcher, taste, and add as much as you like. In Brazil, the milk is added to the blender, and the lemonade is served with foam on top. Chill well before serving, and instead of adding ice to the pitcher, add it to the glasses before pouring the lemonade.
