Directions
- Prepare the pancake batter Mix flour, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract. Add eggs, one at a time, and stir the batter with a wooden spoon until smooth.
Finally, add milk, liqueur, orange juice, and butter. Cover with foil and let it rest in the refrigerator for about 2 hours.
- Cook the pancakes Cook the pancakes in a butter-coated pan, making them as thin as possible.
- Prepare the sauce In a deep pan, mix butter and sugar and heat over medium heat until the sugar melts, stirring constantly. Reduce the heat, then add orange juice, zest, and finally the liqueur.
Heat until the liqueur evaporates.
- Serve Serve the pancakes and immediately pour the hot sauce over them – usually, two pancakes are served together.
Optionally, serve with vanilla ice cream, and you can grate fresh orange zest or decorate with a slice of fresh orange.
