Directions
- Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the farfalle pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare Brussels Sprouts and Bacon:
- In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy.
- Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the skillet.
- Cook Brussels Sprouts:
- In the same skillet with the bacon fat, add the halved Brussels sprouts.
- Cook the Brussels sprouts over medium heat until they are tender and caramelized, about 8-10 minutes.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Combine Pasta and Brussels Sprouts:
- Add the cooked farfalle pasta to the skillet with the Brussels sprouts and garlic.
- Toss everything together until well combined.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve:
- Serve the farfalle pasta with Brussels sprouts and bacon in bowls.
- Sprinkle with crispy bacon pieces on top.
- Optionally, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
Fresh Vegetable Salad:
- Prepare Vegetables:
- Wash and chop all the vegetables as desired.
- Assemble Salad:
- In a large salad bowl, combine the mixed salad greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, red onion slices, and bell pepper slices.
- Dress Salad:
- Drizzle balsamic vinaigrette dressing over the salad just before serving.
- Toss the salad gently to coat the vegetables evenly with the dressing.
- Serve:
- Serve the fresh vegetable salad alongside the farfalle pasta with Brussels sprouts and bacon.
