1 lb (450g) (such as tilapia, cod, or halibut) White fish fillets
8 Small corn or flour tortillas
1 / sliced Avocado
1 cup Shredded cabbage or coleslaw mix
1/4 cup Chopped fresh cilantro
1 / cut into wedges Lime
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional toppings: salsa, sour cream, hot sauce
2 tablespoons Olive Oil For the fish marinade

1 teaspoon Chili powder For the fish marinade

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the ingredients for the fish marinade: olive oil, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place the fish fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are evenly coated. Let them marinate for about 15-30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  3. While the fish is marinating, prepare the toppings. Slice the avocado, chop the cilantro, shred the cabbage, and cut the lime into wedges.
  4. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated fish fillets and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until the fish is cooked through and easily flakes with a fork.
  5. Warm the tortillas in the skillet or microwave according to package instructions.
  6. Assemble the tacos: Place a portion of cooked fish onto each tortilla. Top with sliced avocado, shredded cabbage, chopped cilantro, and any other desired toppings.
