Ingredients
-
1, washed and cut into florets Medium-sized cauliflower
-
1 cup All-purpose flour
-
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
-
1 teaspoon Onion Powder
-
1/2 teaspoon Paprika
-
1/2 teaspoon Salt
-
1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
-
1 cup (or dairy-free milk alternative) Milk
-
(vegetable oil works well) Oil for frying
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
- Pour the milk into another bowl.
- Dip each cauliflower floret into the milk, allowing any excess to drip off, then coat it thoroughly in the flour mixture. Shake off any excess flour.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Make sure there is enough oil to submerge the cauliflower florets.
- Carefully place the coated cauliflower florets into the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry in batches if necessary.
- Fry the cauliflower until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Use tongs to turn them halfway through cooking.
- Once golden and crispy, remove the fried cauliflower from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
- Repeat the frying process with the remaining cauliflower florets.
- Serve the fried cauliflower hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch dressing, marinara sauce, or aioli.
