Swiss Wähe with plums

1. Make the dough
Cut the butter into cubes and add it to a bowl with flour, salt, and sugar. Crumble the mixture with your hands, gradually adding water. Knead briefly, making sure the butter stays in small cubes without melting. Shape the dough into a disk, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for half an hour.

2. Prepare the plums
Wash the plums and cut them in half.

3. Prepare the rest of the filling
Whisk together the milk, heavy cream, sugar, eggs, cinnamon, and vanilla.

4. Roll out the dough
Prepare a 28 cm tart pan, roll out the dough, and press it into the pan with your fingers.

5. Arrange the ingredients on the dough
Place the plums on the dough, sprinkle them with walnuts, and then pour the prepared filling over everything.

6. Bake
Bake for 40-50 minutes at 200°C. Serve while still warm, or if serving cold, accompany it with some whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
