1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon

1 cup, sliced Strawberries
for serving Maple syrup
for dusting (optional) Powdered sugar

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  3. Add the cubed bread to the egg mixture and gently toss until all the bread cubes are coated.
  4. Let the mixture sit for about 10-15 minutes, allowing the bread to soak up the liquid.
  5. Gently fold in the sliced strawberries.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  8. Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
  9. Serve warm with maple syrup and a dusting of powdered sugar, if desired.
