1 Ripe avocado
1 Ripe banana
1 cup (dairy or non-dairy like almond milk, coconut milk, etc.) Milk
1-2 tablespoons (optional, for sweetness) Honey or maple syrup
1/2 cup (optional, for creaminess) Plain yogurt
(optional, for a colder smoothie) Ice cubes
(optional, to prevent browning of avocado) A squeeze of lemon juice

Avocado Banana Smoothie

  1. Peel the avocado and remove the pit. Cut the avocado into chunks.
  2. Peel the banana and slice it into chunks as well.
  3. Place the avocado chunks, banana slices, milk, honey or maple syrup, and yogurt (if using) into a blender.
  4. Squeeze a little lemon juice over the avocado to prevent browning, if desired.
  5. Blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, you can add more milk to reach your desired consistency.
  6. Taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness if necessary by adding more honey or maple syrup.
  7. If you prefer a colder smoothie, you can add a few ice cubes to the blender and blend again until smooth.
  8. Once blended to your liking, pour the smoothie into glasses and serve immediately.
