  1. Prepare the Marinade:
    • In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, black pepper, and smoked paprika (if using). Make sure the brown sugar is well dissolved.
  2. Marinate the Flank Steak:
    • Place the flank steak in a shallow dish or a large resealable plastic bag.
    • Pour the marinade over the steak, making sure it’s well coated.
    • Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for the best flavor.
  3. Preheat the Grill or Skillet:
    • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, or if you’re using a skillet, heat it over medium-high heat.
  4. Grill or Cook the Flank Steak:
    • If using a grill, remove the flank steak from the marinade and discard excess marinade. Place the steak on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust the cooking time according to your desired level of doneness.
    • If using a skillet, heat a bit of oil in the skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off, and place it in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness is reached.
  5. Rest and Slice:
    • Once the steak is cooked to your liking, remove it from the grill or skillet and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.
    • After resting, slice the flank steak thinly against the grain for maximum tenderness.
  6. Serve:
    • Serve the sliced flank steak with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a crisp salad.

Enjoy your deliciously marinated and grilled flank steak!
