2 / Beaten Large eggs
1 cup Breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon (Optional) Italian seasoning
For frying Oil
For dipping Marinara sauce

Mozzarella Cheese Sticks (Recipe)

  1. Prepare a breading station by placing the flour in one shallow dish, beaten eggs in another dish, and breadcrumbs mixed with Italian seasoning (optional) in a third dish.
  2. Take each mozzarella stick and coat it in flour, shaking off any excess.
  3. Dip the floured mozzarella stick into the beaten eggs, making sure it is completely coated.
  4. Roll the mozzarella stick in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to ensure the breadcrumbs stick to the cheese.
  5. Repeat steps 2-4 with all the mozzarella sticks.
  6. Place the breaded mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet and freeze them for about 30 minutes. This will help them hold their shape during frying.
  7. Meanwhile, heat oil in a deep fryer or a deep pot to about 375°F (190°C).
  8. Carefully drop the frozen mozzarella sticks into the hot oil, frying them in small batches for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Use a slotted spoon or tongs to remove the fried cheese sticks from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  10. Serve the mozzarella sticks while they are still warm with marinara sauce or your preferred dipping sauce.

Note: Be cautious when handling hot oil and make sure to follow proper safety precautions.
