  1. Begin by slicing the tomatoes and fresh mozzarella cheese into approximately 1/4-inch thick slices.
  2. Arrange the tomato and mozzarella slices alternately on a serving platter, overlapping them slightly.
  3. Tuck fresh basil leaves in between the tomato and mozzarella slices.
  4. Drizzle extra virgin olive oil over the tomato and mozzarella slices. You can also drizzle some balsamic vinegar for added flavor, but it’s optional.
