  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter.
  3. Add the granulated sugar to the banana mixture and stir well to combine.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are fine. If you’re adding nuts, fold them into the batter at this point.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The baking time may vary, so start checking around 50 minutes and adjust accordingly.
  9. Once done, remove the banana bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Enjoy your homemade banana bread! You can store it in an airtight container at room temperature for a few days, or refrigerate it to keep it longer.
